If you decided to stay in the city for the end of the year, you should definitely not miss the 30th annual New Year’s Eve event at Nathan Phillips Square. Just like every year, Torontonians can look forward a spectacular free show with musical and interactive exhibits that will keep the crowd entertained over the freezing Canadian winter evening. The program starts at 8:00 P.M. and ends with a spectacular fireworks show that ushers in the New Year.

If you’re not interested in local DJs and musicians, you can spend the last hours of 2014 skating on the rink or challenging your friends and family in a game of curling just around the square. There will also be a special photo booth, giving everyone a chance to have their picture printed in Sportsnet Magazine. Organizers announced that they expect between 50,000 and 75,000 people to attend the final countdown. To keep their stomachs satisfied over the night, there will be food trucks serving delicious street food right onsite.
