Don’t miss your chance to visit the Art Gallery of Ontario that just opened an extensive retrospective of Jean-Michel Basquiat. The artist is famed for innovatively engaging with activist topics such as class struggle or racism, using a raw style inspired by the streets of the city. Even though Basquiat tragically died at age 27, his unique style continues to fascinate art lovers all over the world. A large collection of works from this New York art scene icon is now being introduced to a Canadian audience for the first time.

The Ed Mirvish Theatre re-introduces the Tony award-winning musical hit Once to a Toronto audience. The musical tells the story of the love of a street musician and a Czech piano player in Dublin. It features songs that were written for the original movie and were awarded by the Academy including hits such as “Falling Slowly”, “Say It to Me Now” and “The Moon”. Ticket prices range from $29 to $200.
Rhubarb Festival by Buddies in Bad Times Theatre

The Rhubarb Festival celebrates its 36th season and invites audiences for two weeks of theatrical and artistic experimentation. The festival takes place at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, where more than 30 original works will be staged. The aim of the event is to encourage artists to test the boundaries of theatre and explore new directions in their works. Every night there are three to four shows and the programming changes daily, so visitors never get bored!

All motorcycle enthusiasts should mark the Motorcycle Show down to their calendars, as the event brings all the industry’s top manufacturers under one roof. The event will take place in the Direct Energy Centre and include presentations of new bikes, apparel and accessories as well as tips for hot touring destinations. Kids will surely appreciate the Yamaha Riding Academy for Kids and everyone is welcome to watch the amazing Team Empire Freestyle Stunt Show or trial demos with Canadian legend Jordan Szoke.
