Oakville Family Ribfest ’band’ of executives and sponsors

Location: Sheridan College
Come to Oakville Family Ribfest and savour the culinary mastery of nine famous ribbers, while listening to great music. The family-friendly event is organized as a fundraiser for local Rotary club that supports many international initiatives such as well building, polio vaccinations and others. The event is free of charge, so everybody is welcome to join and enjoy the summer chill with tasty food and fun program. Organizers also prepared Kid’s play zone, artisanal and community marketplace and many non-rib-related food vendors.

All music lovers in Toronto can look forward to days and nights filled with jazzy tunes during the renowned TD Toronto Jazz Festival. The festival grew even better and bigger this year and includes such great artists as Robi Botos, Alexander Brown, Jamie Cullum and Kurt Elling. A special feature of the festival is jazz performers collaboration with World Pride at the opening ceremony at Nathan Philips Square. Prices for the events vary, but the festival also offers plenty of performances for free for everyone to enjoy.

Location: Halton County Radial Railway
Celebrate the Father’s Day with the Halton County Radial Railway, ride streetcars and have a day full of family entertainment at the largest museum of its kind in Ontario. The railway is a unique full-size electric railway with historic railcars running along two kilometres of stunning scenery track. The railway is supplemented by an interesting museum, run by local enthusiasts. Father’s admission during the day is free with the purchase of at least one child admission.

Every year, Taste of Asia showcases the best of Asian cuisine to the Ontario inhabitants. Come to savour the best food in more than 150 street vendor booths and explore the exotic tastes of the Far East. For the first time, the event includes a Spice it Up competition in hot sauce preparation. There will be a competition in two categories: homemade and restaurant sauces – so if you feel that your home recipe is the top, don’t be shy and enter the contest! The event is free of charge.
